Our design concept aims to reflect the dialogues and creative tensions between the aesthetics of the older structure and the performative and exploratory nature of contemporary art practices and gestures.

With reference to the garden, we have designed a green courtyard to be activated by artists and visitors. A central path crosses the courtyard to host art performances while the cement ring running across the catwalk is meant to offer seats to visitors while enjoying the art performances. This sort of innovative and performative stage is also amplified by the reflection of the two mirror-stainless-steel panels along the perimeter of the garden walls. In this way the exhibition space is extended to the outside garden area, a space for both gathering and contemplation.
